We seek a highly motivated Director with experience in engineering consulting to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership to the Planning & Design Practice in Region 3 (Western PA, Ohio, and West Virginia), building a strong and diverse team of professionals, and ensuring the success of the regional practice. The Planning & Design Practice includes the primary disciplines of Land Development, Municipal, Survey/GIS, and Transportation.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to the Planning & Design Practice in Region 3
- Build a strong, diverse team of professionals to meet established goals
- Possess knowledge of the region's business climate and stay active in regional industry-related organizations
- Recommend client pursuits, expansion, or retraction within the region
- Establish trusting, collaborative relationships with practice leads across regions, other Regional Practice Directors, and business development staff
- Ensure the success of the regional practice by meeting or exceeding established goals and objectives
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering consulting-related field e.g., Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Land Planning, Landscape Architecture, Survey/GIS, etc.
- Minimum 10 years of management-level experience in a related field.
- Professional licensure or certification in a related field is not required for this position, but it would be highly beneficial.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a similar industry.
- Strong understanding of the region's business climate and industry trends.
-Comprehensive understanding of financial management (budgeting, metrics, profit and loss, etc.)
- Strong business development skills, including experience building and maintaining client relationships and an understanding of consulting services business.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
