Design Engineer designs, develops, and enhances new and existing products/product lines. Evaluates and recommends specifications and ensures products meet the technical and functional requirements. Being a Design Engineer recommends and follows reliable, efficient, and cost-effective procedures. Performs feasibility, functional, and quality testing of designs. Additionally, Design Engineer works with other members of the engineering staff to ensure project milestones are met and that projects are completed according to established timelines. Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Design Engineer work is closely managed. Hannah Solar is a full service, NABCEP certified design/build firm dedicated to providing the very best engineering, products installation and service throughout the Southeast.
This key member of the team must have a strong design/engineer background with a natural curiosity and a keen attention to detail. The right person will also:
· Have the ability to identify key components of a problem to formulate solutions
· Set, pursue and attain achievable goals and identify the actions necessary to achieve results
· Understand and motivate others in order to create direction
· Be driven to maximize resources and increase efficiencies
Primary Responsibilities:
· Analyze RFP’s and specifications for contract requirements to provide summary review of overall project
· Drive to achieve engineering milestones, manage customer expectations
· Manage appropriate budgets, understand budget changes and provide variance feedback
· Work closely with operations and solve issues as necessary
· Provide design reviews and QA assessments throughout construction
· Provide technical continuity, create SOP’s,

Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university with a degree in Engineering preferably Electrical Engineering.
· 2-5 years of experience
· Must have and maintain full Covid-19 vaccination per U.S. Government requirements.
· Must be a US Citizen.
· Must have a valid driver’s license and US Passport at the time of employment. Driver’s license and Passport must be maintained as a condition of continued employment.
· Must be able to obtain and maintain US Government security check clearance for access to military and other sensitive US Government facilities and bases.
· Military experience (Veteran) is highly desirable.
· EIT Certification with the ability to earn a P.E. license.
· Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
