DUTIES:
- Responsible for initial telephone contact for intakes, completing appropriate documentation, and computer data entry.
- Triage incoming calls for urgency and appropriateness of therapy referrals.
- Complete contact sheet, make clinical assignment, and complete appropriate paperwork.
- Administer grant applications and inform client of financial responsibility.
- Complete benefits recovery procedures. Enter new client information into the computer.
- Enter updates, reopens, and data changes into computer. Make changes as requested by the billing department.
- Maintain an adequate supply of admissions forms. Performs all other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma OR general education degree (GED); OR one to three months related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Focuses on understanding and exceeding internal and external customer's needs in a professional manner.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to appropriately assist persons who may be experiencing mental health problems.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Displays kindness and genuineness towards others.
