SUMMARY OF POSITION: Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Career Development, the Career Development Coordinator is responsible for the support and career coaching of adult learners and veteran students to achieve career readiness and success post-graduation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Coordinator of Career Development will work closely with the Assistant Dean of Career Development and the Center for Career Development team to facilitate a comprehensive program for adult learners and veteran students that fosters self-esteem and self-efficacy in academic, personal, and professional success. The Coordinator for Career Development will be an active collaborator to support areas of student professional development including career services, employer relations, internships, experiential learning, professional exploration, and career workshops.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 1 to 3 years of experience working within higher education, student affairs, veterans' affairs, adult education, community programs, or related area.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree with 1 to 3 years of experience within higher education, student affairs, veterans' affairs, adult education, community programs, or related area.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of career development practices, veterans' affairs, programming experience, event planning, and strong interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Word and Excel) and Google Workspace (including Drive, Sheets, Docs, etc.) are highly desirable. The ability to work in a complex and dynamic office setting with students, faculty, and staff.
GUIDELINES AND SUPERVISION: Supervision received to do this job, including independence and discretion to do the job.
Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 8:00am-5:00pm; Friday 8:00am-1:00pm
