  • Position Summary:  

    CCOF is seeking a creative and experienced Digital Marketing Specialist who leads the development and implementation of digital channel strategies, oversees SEO initiatives, and manages digital advertising for CCOF's Marketing and Communications (Marcom) campaigns to achieve CCOF's objectives in digital awareness, lead generation for Certification services, engagement in consumer education, and online fundraising for CCOF Foundation.

    The right candidate will have a high level of integrity and a deep passion for our mission to advance organic agriculture for a healthy world. The Digital Marketing Specialist must excel in complex project management, creativity and innovation, clear communication, and building relationships. The right candidate will share our commitment to equity and inclusivity.  

    This is a full-time, exempt position that reports to the Assistant Director of Marketing. This is a United States-based remote position. 

    Essential Responsibilities:  

    • Develop data-driven marketing strategies for digital channels and execute digital marketing plans and ad campaigns. 
    • Manage day to day digital paid ads, budgets, targeting, and agency partnerships. 
    • Leads strategy, ads, and management of both earned and paid Social Media Channels. 
    • Champion and execute website SEO to maximize search visibility and organic traffic. 
    • Work closely with the Marcom team to report on and analyze data from CCOF’s digital marketing campaigns and website key performance indicators (KPIs) improving performance of future campaigns. 

    Specific duties:    

    • Contribute to the creation of creative, data-driven digital marketing campaigns across search, social media, CCOF website, and other digital platforms. 
    • Scale paid campaigns and effectively manage ad budgets to maximize visibility and ROI across digital channels. 
    • Implement technical and content SEO best practices.  
    • Enhance and optimize digital Public Relations efforts. 
    • Develop, build, and maintain our social media presence with the support of the Marcom team’s content creators. 
    • Optimize CCOF website content for search. 
    • Plan, execute, and measure ad and conversion tests. 
    • Collaborate with cross organizational teams to create website landing pages and optimize user experience. 
    • Conduct competitor analysis and keyword research. 
    • Collaborate with agencies, vendors, and partners. 
    • Analyze marketing data and provide monthly detailed reporting to determine success of campaigns, and help shape future marketing strategies, and identify opportunities. 

    Required Qualifications: 

    • At least three years of experience as a Digital Marketer developing and executing effective strategies and campaigns. 
    • Experience managing annual ad budgets up to $1Million, ensuring strategic allocation and effective utilization of funds across various marketing initiatives. 
    • Extensive knowledge of the latest trends and developments in social media, SEO, and Digital Ad landscapes.  
    • Highly creative with experience identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform, and convert. 
    • Competency in Google Analytics to gather and analyze data, and an expertise focusing on key performance Indicators (KPI). 

    Desired Qualifications: 

    • Knowledge of organic, agriculture, or food production audiences including familiarity with emerging technologies, market dynamics, and environmental concerns. 
    • Experience promoting underserved communities and diverse populations in digital channels. 
    • Bilingual in English and Spanish to sufficiently communicate verbally and in writing. 
    • Google Ad and Analytics Certified, demonstrating proficiency in leveraging Google's advertising platform to create and optimize targeted ad campaigns. Skilled in strategic campaign planning, keyword research, ad copywriting, bid management, and performance analysis to maximize ROI. 
    • Prior experience optimizing WordPress websites, conducting website audits, identifying areas for improvement, or implementing solutions to optimize website performance and achieve objectives. 
    • Knowledge and familiarity with DEI principles. Willing to talk about race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, class, ability, or gender and the ways our identities shape our experience at work. Understands the historical context for inequities and its present-day implications. 
    • Experience working remotely with in-office and remote teams.     

    Supervisory Responsibilities or Key Relationships: 

    • This role does not have any supervisory responsibilities. 

    Physical and Travel Requirements:  

    • Ability to work occasional nights and weekends. 
    • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.  
    • Occasional travel for in-person team gatherings (about once a year).

    Compensation: CCOF takes pride in offering competitive pay and benefits such as superb health plans, 401(k) program, and generous sick/personal and vacation time. The Digital Marketing Specialist’s starting salary range will be $68,000 – $77,000 and will depend on qualifications and experience.
