Digital Marketing Director develops and implements the digital marketing strategy and leads tactical operations to increase product demand, enhance sales, identify additional sales channels, attract traffic to the company website, and promote an online presence. Utilizes search engine optimization (SEO) analytics and search engine marketing (SEM) techniques to increase traffic to the website. Being a Digital Marketing Director leads the development, curation, and deployment of compelling content to attract, engage and retain visitors and promote sales. Employs social media, email, and mobile marketing campaigns. Additionally, Digital Marketing Director reviews online statistics, marketplace trends, and best practices to optimize online marketing performance. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Digital Marketing Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.   • Join our dynamic and innovative marketing and communications team as the Associate Director of Digital Marketing & Web Strategy. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the associate director leads digital marketing efforts, builds brand awareness, and implements a comprehensive web content strategy. In this position, you will develop and execute an integrated digital marketing plan across multiple channels and inquiry sources to align with strategic marketing and enrollment objectives. Alfred State's digital marking strategy, reporting, and continual improvement must produce an efficient and sustainable student acquisition model that also reinforces the overall university brand. You will manage external partners and internal stakeholders to ensure an integrated approach to cross-channel marketing and a consistent level of content quality. Your valuable work will allow ASC to reach and generate admissions leads for key audiences, including undergraduate, transfer, online, and international students.

    You will be joining Alfred State College at a crucial and exciting time, as we embark on a comprehensive website redesign project. You will play a leading role in this important initiative, helping to re-envision and re-invigorate our most valuable marketing tool with a bold, new look and enhanced user experience. From research and development through launch, this project will be a great way to learn Alfred State and contribute with your digital skills. In 2024 we are also selecting an ad agency to launch a multi-year contract for advertising that will exceed a million dollars in spending. As a senior member of the marketing team, you will lead and collaborate with the creative and web teams to effectively leverage videos, blogs, publications, micro websites, podcasts, and other digital assets to drive lead generation, application volume, and conversion. A successful mix of advertising, organic reach, and a deep understanding of target audiences has led ASC to its current positive trends in enrollment. Leadership is now taking this opportunity to double down with more resources to continue the momentum.

    Minimum education, skills, and abilities:

    • Bachelor's degree
    • 3 years of progressively responsible experience in lead generation and marketing and communications, particularly in higher education / enrollment.
    • Experience generating leads and reaching targeted audiences via paid and organic digital media, SEO, and email marketing.
    • Working knowledge of Google Analytics and reporting.
    • Experience and knowledge of content management systems, web content strategy, and information architecture.
    • Experience with keyword strategies, SEO tactics, and standards.
    • Experience in implementing paid digital tactics and standards.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work as a team member as well as the confidence to work independently
    • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

    Preferred education, skills, and abilities:

    • Master's Degree
    • Experience utilizing Google Analytics, Tag Manager, and Search Console for continual reporting and optimization.
    • Knowledge of multiple paid ad platforms, such as Meta, Snapchat, Hulu, Spotify, Pandora/AudioGo, TikTok, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Google, or YouTube through agency supervision and/or direct placement.
    • Ability to translate web analytics, search data, and expert knowledge into insights and recommendations.
    • Knowledge of SUNY and Alfred State.
    • Experience with copywriting techniques for digital platforms.

    Pay: From $63,000.00 per year
