Merchandising Specialist-Direct Hire

Currently looking for an experienced Merchandising Specialist with a background in the Jewelry industry to fill an opening with a well-known manufacturing client in the Warwick, RI area. Interested candidates should have at least 3-5 years of experience within merchandising, purchasing or category management. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of jewelry merchandising and design and have the ability to travel for work.

Responsibilities of the Merchandising Specialist- Direct Hire

·● Build project presentations from concept to delivery, by bringing to market trend-appropriate assortments that meet customer needs.

• Maintain relationships with collaborators and competitors; attend trade shows and industry events as needed
• Analyze product performance, market conditions and feedback from customers continuously; update, identify and suggest opportunities based on analysis; research trends, and trend spotting.

● Collaborate to establish and drive merchandising strategy and assortment plans for merchandise category and channel, collaborate on concept development with Design to ensure assortment meets cost structure(s)

• Communicate and follow-up with internal and external constituents around the world, including customers, suppliers, vendors and licensors.
• Collaborate with Sales to merchandise and style showroom; assist where applicable on collateral for in-store marketing needs
• Present product line to supervisors; actively participate in review meetings, including edits, board review, pre-costing, line reviews, adoption and post-market review.

Requirements of the Merchandising Specialist- Direct Hire

● Entrepreneurial spirit that is driven to servicing a client’s needs

● Minimum 3-5 years of experience in jewelry, accessories or hair goods.

● Experience with analyzing information, written communication, organization, and excellent Microsoft Office skills

● Any additional software knowledge of CAD, Photoshop or the Adobe platform is preferred

● Ability to travel domestically and occasionally internationally

● Bachelor’s degree preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
