Do you have a passion for people with special needs? We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Next Gen Summer Intern to join our Disability Inclusion Ministry team. This position plays a vital role in Forest Hills mission to connect everyone to a dynamic life in Christ. Disability Inclusion Ministry exists to promote the belonging of people impacted by disability and their families by supporting their access to worship, discipleship, fellowship, and opportunities to share their gifts. As a Disability Inclusion Ministry Summer Intern, you will work closely with the Disability Inclusion Director, assisting in the planning and execution of various programs, trips, events, and initiatives that promote inclusion and provide support to those with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Program Support: Assist in the development and implementation of inclusive programs and activities for kids, students, young adults, and families impacted by disability. Collaborate with the Disability Inclusion Director and FHC partners to create engaging and meaningful experiences.
2. Trip and Event Coordination: Help with the planning, coordination and execution of Next Gen trips and events to facilitate access and support for kids and students with special needs.
3. Next Gen Ministry Resource Development: Contribute to implement and strengthen campus programs, environments, resources and materials to support and facilitate access to kids, students, young adults and families living with disability.
4. Volunteer Support: Assist in recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers who will engage with individuals impacted by disability.
