Hours: Full-Time/40 Hours
Shift Details: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm with 1 Sunday per month (will get a day off during the week when working the Sunday shift).

Position Summary:
The Clerk is responsible for assisting with assigned medical records tasks.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Answers phones and responds to patient inquiries appropriately; promptly addresses patients needs based on the scope of the position and clinical setting.
- Appropriately triage calls, referring to clinicians as necessary.
- Completes appropriate work items utilizing the EMR system, to include patient referrals and other tasks as needed.
- Scans patient records into the appropriate EMR system.
- Processes faxes, incoming mail, and paperwork as required.
- Manages multiple priorities and pays attention to details to ensure accuracy.
- Participates in rotation for weekend clerical coverage and completes tasks as assigned and requested by weekend supervisor.
- Provide backup support to office processes as assigned by the supervisor.
- Understands and utilizes EMR system consistent with roles, abides by all federal laws and organizational privacy policies
- Performs administrative and other job related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong customer service skills - excellent communication skills with knowledge of telephone etiquette
- Must possess strong computer skills
- Must be well-organized with the ability to multi-task
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Positive attitude and a team player with excellent interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Receptionist/Secretarial experience in a healthcare setting
- Associates degree
- Familiarity with HIPAA and other medical privacy practices & regulations
- EPIC experience
