Jr. Staff Accountant
Fisher’s Technology is seeking a Jr. Staff Accountant located at our corporate headquarters in Boise, Idaho. This valuable team member will perform multiple different accounting department functions while ensuring efficiency and compliance under the guidance of the Accounting Manager and Staff Accountant. Our ideal candidate uses strong analytical skills to analyze business transactions and post them with high levels of accuracy. To succeed in this role, a candidate should also have a problem-solving attitude with a very high level of attention to detail. This is a great opportunity to acquire experience on a large fast-paced accounting team with opportunities for growth. This position will report directly to our Accounting Manager.

Essential Job Functions:

• Process and review daily billing in IT department
• Post and review daily transactions (e.g. accounts payable/receivable, general ledger and bank reconciliations)
• Monitor the daily performance of the accounting department to ensure accuracy of completed work
• Respond to customers and vendors in a timely, professional, and friendly manner to assist with their questions or issues related to IT invoices and payments
• Contact customers with overdue accounts and collect on the overdue amounts
• Support most aspects of accounting management (billing, tax forms, reporting etc.)
• Manage journal entries, invoices etc. and reconcile accounts for the monthly or annual closing
• General Ledger accounting for IT department
• Assist in development of reports for management or regulatory bodies
• Assist in the formulation and automation of internal controls & policies to comply with legislation & established best practices
• Review the company’s accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances
• Perform other projects as assigned by the Accounting Manager, Controller or CFO

Job Requirements:

• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related business degree.
• 1 to 3 years’ experience in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent field.
• Knowledge or experience with ConnectWise.
• Knowledge or experience with Microsoft Office products, including advanced functions in Excel.
• Highly organized self-starter with excellent work ethic.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with high attention to detail.
• Must have excellent communication skills, ability to deal with a variety of situations in a tactful, mature, and cooperative manner.
