    Job Description

    Mission Technologies a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries is looking for a qualified individual to fill the role of Technical Editor and Writer 1 for their Air Force’s Air Combat Command Live Mission Operation Network (LMON) program. This person would work with LMON team members to gather requirements from technical personnel, and based upon requirements, create and maintain technical LMON installation documentation.

    Essential Job Responsibilities

    • Develop technical documentation required as part of the LMON Installation process consisting of: installation design and as built plans, to include detailed facility, cabling, power, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and network drawings
    • Prior experience using AUTODESK AutoCAD family of products
    • Prior experience Adobe Acrobat professional
    • Periodically (25%) travel to LMON locations to survey proposed and existing installation sites, and develop drawings and provide survey results to be included in survey reports
    • Assist with maintaining LMON documentation and drawing libraries across relevant information storage and sharing platforms utilized by the program
    • As required, develop and update other technical and administrative documentation, generally using Microsoft office products
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance

    Minimum Qualifications

    0 years experience with Bachelors in related field or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.
    In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for applicable work experience. Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience

    Preferred Requirements

    • Familiar with the standards of the Navy Shore Installation Process Handbook
    • Some familiarity and use of Microsoft Office products, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
    • Familiarity with Atlassian workshare products, to include Confluence and JIRA a plus
    • The ability to effectively communicate with co-workers to obtain resources needed to complete tasks
