Responsible for operation of the rig, crew, and equipment and for ensuring customer satisfaction with all services rendered. Being a Drill Operator maintains a safe working environment and ensures compliance of applicable regulations and policies. Maintains productivity standards for all rig functions. In addition, Drill Operator may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Drill Operator supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision.
