Drilling Operations Director directs and oversees the drilling, production, and engineering operations for an organization. Oversees all aspects of planning and executing drilling projects, developing oil and gas fields, and analyzing reserves. Being a Drilling Operations Director is responsible for directing revisions or enhancements to troubleshoot and solve drilling problems. May coordinate drilling contractors and production managers/superintendents. Additionally, Drilling Operations Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a top management. The Drilling Operations Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Drilling Operations Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     JOB TITLE:  

    DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS – SPORTS MEDICINE 

    JOB PURPOSE:   

    Assists with the day-to-day operations of the University of Wyoming’s Sports Medicine Department. Assist all Sports Medicine personnel as needed/required including, but not limited to, providing operational support for the Medical Director/Primary Care Physician. 

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

    • Assists with day-to-day operations including, but not limited to, maintaining an accurate inventory of medical supplies, reporting items that need to be re-ordered, restocking applicable items, assisting with cleaning/sterilizing necessary equipment, etc. 
    • Provides operational support for the Medical Director/Primary Care Physician including, but not limited to, coordinating/scheduling student-athlete appointments, assisting during the examination process (e.g., preparing examination room, taking/recording pertinent patient vital signs, taking/processing dictations, etc.) and coordinating appropriate post examination duties (e.g., breakdown/clean-up exam room, process applicable paperwork, etc.).  
    • Supports Insurance Coordinator/Business Manager as needed with specific emphasis on processing applicable medical documentation.
    • Maintains CPR/AED/First Aid certifications. 
    • Maintains a thorough knowledge of and adheres to all applicable University, conference and  NCAA rules and regulations. 
    • Assists with other duties/projects as assigned/directed.

    REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY: 

    This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • CPR/AED/First Aid Certifications (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
    • Valid driver’s license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) that is compliant with the University Vehicle Use Policy

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

    • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
    • Strong analytical, organizational and written and oral communication skills
    • Strong collaboration skills and experience working in a fast-paced, team environment
    • A minimum of 1 (one) year of related work experience in a medical setting (e.g., doctor’s office, hospital, medical center, etc.).
