Echocardiograph Technician performs echocardiograms in accordance with established practices and procedures. Provides preliminary diagnostic evaluation and notifies cardiologists of results of examinations. Being an Echocardiograph Technician consults with cardiologist to establish requirements for non-standard examinations and determines technical factors to satisfy requirements. Requires an associate degree, and passing the Echocardiography Registry Exam. Additionally, Echocardiograph Technician typically reports to a manager. - 5 years of experience in maintenance in a manufacturing environment, or a two-year associate degree in technology plus 5 years of experience.
- Licensed Electrician.
- Experience in the following core areas: hydraulics, mechanical, electrical, PLC logic, CNC and pneumatics.
- Experience with Allen Bradly RS500/RS5000, GE Series 9030, Koyo (Direct Soft 32), Eaton.
- Must have a strong familiarity and knowledge of metal fabrication equipment and processes, to include operation of presses, shears, welding units and overhead cranes and hoisting systems.
- Must have ability to comprehend complex internal documents such as bills of materials, blue prints, machine schematics, PLC logic diagrams, electrical diagrams and work orders.
- Must have experience using electric, pneumatic, hand tools and forklifts.
- Experience using pressure gauges and precision measuring instruments.
- Must have demonstrated ability to rely upon experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned goals.
