Additionally, Electrical Powerline Installer/Repairer relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. The Electrical Technician will install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic equipment . Additionally, as a part of the Berkeley team the Electrical Technician is required to assist both Production and Mechanical departments as necessary. Must be able to work rotating shifts and scheduled/unscheduled overtime including nights, weekends, and holidays. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
1. Electrical maintenance and troubleshooting experience
2. High School Diploma or equivalent
1. Motor, motor controls, and AC drive understanding
2. Power Distribution and High Voltage understanding
3. PC, Network and PLC experience (AB and Siemens)
4. HMI programming experience (Wonderware)
