Electrical Powerline Installer/Repairer installs, repairs, and maintains powerline equipment. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being an Electrical Powerline Installer/Repairer may be required to be certified in an area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Electrical Powerline Installer/Repairer relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. Basic Job Functions:
The Electrical Technician will install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic equipment . Additionally, as a part of the Berkeley team the Electrical Technician is required to assist both Production and Mechanical departments as necessary. Must be able to work rotating shifts and scheduled/unscheduled overtime including nights, weekends, and holidays. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Electrical maintenance and troubleshooting experience
2. High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Motor, motor controls, and AC drive understanding
2. Power Distribution and High Voltage understanding
3. PC, Network and PLC experience (AB and Siemens)
4. HMI programming experience (Wonderware)
