Role Description
The Elevator Coordinator and Dispatcher is responsible for overseeing the daily operations. This role involves coordinating maintenance schedules, managing service requests, and dispatching elevator technicians as needed. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to ensuring the safety and efficiency of elevator operations. This is a full-time position located in our Redondo Beach office.
Responsibilities
· Coordinate the scheduling and coordination of routine maintenance and inspections for all elevator systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations
· Monitor elevator usage and respond to service calls, efficiently dispatching technicians to address issues in a timely manner
· Serve as the primary point of contact for elevator-related inquiries from staff and customers, providing clear and accurate information
· Maintain accurate records of service calls and maintenance schedules
· Collaborate with technicians and external service providers to resolve problems
· Ensure all elevator operations adhere to safety standards and local regulations
· Assist in training new staff on elevator operations and emergency protocols, fostering a culture of safety and responsiveness
· Uphold high levels of customer service, addressing concerns and complaints in a professional and courteous manner
Requirements
· Previous experience with scheduling and dispatching
· Knowledge of IUEC Local 18 Union
· Excellent organization and time management skills
· Possess strong communications skills
· Known for meticulous attention to detail and follow-through
· Be extremely dependable and self-sufficient
· Ability to work autonomously and has a team player
Wage & Benefits
This is a full-time hourly position with competitive pay
Hourly Range: $20-25
Work hours: 7:00-4:00
Weekends/Evenings: As needed
