Elevator Installer/Repairer jobs in New Hampshire

This position is at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. Need to pass a background check and drug test before starting.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair all types of elevator equipment in compliance with safety regulations
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals to determine work procedures
• Perform preventive maintenance on elevators, escalators, and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity
• Respond to service calls and troubleshoot issues in a timely and efficient manner
• Test elevator equipment and systems to ensure they are functioning properly
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities
• Assist in the training of new technicians
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Comply with all company policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical training in elevator maintenance/repair, or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years of experience maintaining/repairing elevators
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in small spaces
• Excellent customer service skills

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in related field
• 5 years of experience maintaining/repairing elevators
• Elevator Technician certification

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Experience:

• elevator maintenance: 5 years (Preferred)
