The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing a variety of issues in emergency fire and rescue trucks, including pump and electrical problems. • Engage with the Service Manager to understand customer concerns and diagnose problems using diagnostic equipment.
• Conduct repairs and preventative maintenance following established checklists and protocols.
• Strive for maximum reliability and cost savings in all repairs for our customers.
• Maintain a preventative maintenance program for all shop equipment.
• Ensure a safe, organized, and clean workspace.
• Inspect and test vehicles, complete preventive maintenance, and manage inventory of stock.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven mechanical expertise and basic math skills.
• Experience with mechanic’s tools, service, and diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
• Associate degree or vocational/trade school certification (preferred).
• Willingness to obtain EVT – Emergency Vehicle Training certification (preferred).
