Emergency Medical Technician responds to emergency calls for medical assistance, assesses the situation, obtains a basic medical history and physical examination of the patient, and provides emergency care at the scene and during transit to the hospital. Utilizes necessary medical equipment to treat the patient and ascertains the extent of their injuries or illness. Being an Emergency Medical Technician communicates with the medical care facility receiving the patient about the patient's condition, status, and arrival time. May require registry in NREMT. Additionally, Emergency Medical Technician requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Requires Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - Basic. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Emergency Medical Technician works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. - Safely operate a variety of vehicles, including wheelchair accessible vans, and sedans.
- Transport passengers to and from designated locations
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the vehicle
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience for passengers
- Communicate effectively with passengers and address any concerns or questionsExperience
To be successful in this role, you should have the following experience:
- Previous experience in bus driving, commercial driving, or shuttle driving is preferred but team will train if no experience.
- Familiarity with paratransit or limousine services is a plus
- Excellent communication skills to interact with passengers and provide clear instructionsQualifications
- Must be 21 years old
-Chauffeur License
- Must be able to pass a drug test
