The Director of Emergency Services will be overseeing our staff of 6 full-time emergency doctors, ensuring high-quality patient care and close adherence to service protocols. This position is 4 days per week, with 1-2 days dedicated to working an emergency shift.

**$225,000 - $275,000 per year * Compensation is commensurate to experience**

**Location is in Brewster, NY**

• Must have graduated from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school with an active NYS veterinary license
• Must have completed a Rotating Internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery
• Must have practiced emergency medicine for at least 5 years
• Managerial/supervisory experience preferred but not required

• Attending all appropriate meetings involving the emergency service
• Facilitating quarterly emergency service meetings
• Training and mentoring all emergency doctors alongside the criticalists
• Responsible for emergency doctor reviews and performance plans
• Performing regular emergency service medical record reviews
• Identifying and addressing issues arising between the emergency department and other services/departments
• Involved in the hiring/firing of emergency doctors
• Researching and resolving client complaints
