Guardian EMS is a premier Medical Transportation Company, exclusively servicing Skilled Nursing Facilities for the northern NJ area. We specialize in Emergency and Non Emergency transport. Currently we actively seeking a full time dispatcher. Our friendly staff offers a great working environment, along with convenient 8, 10 and 12 hour shifts.

Job Summary:

Dispatcher on Duty will be responsible for supervising a fleet of Ambulance and Coach vans up to approximately 20 vehicles at any given time. Call intake for emergency and non-emergency transports. Minor clerical functions as needed, and other tasks as directed by management.

Applicant Requirements:

• Must have at least one year experience in EMS dispatching. (Experience with WellRyde, or Rescue Net Medical Dispatch is a plus)
• Excellent communication skills, and be able to quickly and effectively disseminate information to field staff over a walkie talkie.
• A working knowledge of the greater Northern NJ roadways.
• Ability to think quickly to facilitate the most optimal routing of vehicles in a dynamic environment.
• Must speak English. (Bi-Lingual is a plus).
• Must have basic medical knowledge, especially related to pre-hospital or 911 settings.
• Must understand exactly what services Medicare, Medicaid and private insurances cover, or demonstrate the ability to learn this information.
