  • Job Title: Commodity Manager – North America Capital Projects Summary: In this role, you will manage procurement activities including services and equipment supporting capital investment projects throughout our Momentive sites in North America. This is a great opportunity for a strong procurement professional to bring their experience to Momentive a leading global specialty growth chemical manufacturing company. You will manage a $30-50MM annual spend through capital projects. Responsibilities Include: Equipment purchases for capital investment projects to support growth strategy with multi-million-dollar new investment projects throughout North America Responsible for the negotiation services and equipment contracts with an annual spend of $30-$50MM. Build and maintain internal relationships cross-functionally with Business Leaders and Plant Operations to understand and support their purchasing requirements. Responsible for developing and implementing procurement plans, and strategies for the assigned commodity set, and executing RFx’s and e-auctions as appropriate. Support Initiating and Finalization of Momentive Equipment Purchase Agreements (MEPA), Short Form Agreements, Master Service MSA’s, MCSA’s (Construction), and Statement of Works (SOW) Documents Responsible for Workflow entry of Capex NDAs (Tech and Non-Tech) Perform vendor selection (including supporting new vendor requests), contract negotiation, and implementation through the strategic sourcing process. Upon implementation, actively manage vendor contracts and proactively identify areas for improvement, service issues, or other topics to address. Ensure local procurement activities are in line with standard procurement processes and procedures working in synergy with regional indirect commodity managers. Identify opportunities for synergies across all Momentive sites and implement maximizing cost benefits for all plants impacted. Promotion of the use of good automation tools and Ariba catalogs Meet Productivity goals and working capital targets. Completes additional duties as assigned Travel: As needed Qualifications: The following are required for the role BS/BA degree or equivalent Good commercial skills 5 years of procurement or operations experience Skilled negotiator and Analytical skills Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills Adept at Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Strong project leadership driving procurement strategies through the implementation The following are preferred for this role: MBA Professional certifications (CPSM, CPIM, etc.) Continuous improvement mindset Familiarity with SAP, Ariba, and E-auction tools Six Sigma or Lean certification #LI-NG1 #LI-Hybrid PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT: The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. What We Offer: Base Pay Range: $96,000.00 - $140,800.00 The actual salary offered is determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, skill sets, and geography.
