Employee Performance Specialist develops, implements, and administers programs that evaluate, measure, and improve employee performance. Conducts assessment activities to evaluate and identify the current and emerging skills, competencies, and behaviors required to achieve desired organizational results and prepare for future needs. Being a Employee Performance Specialist designs performance management strategies and processes that measure outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and align teams to organizational goals. Identifies the types of training and development and resources needed to achieve workforce performance improvements. Additionally, Employee Performance Specialist encourages a culture of objective setting and result measurement aligned to pay and rewards using tools, training, and communication. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Employee Performance Specialist work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.     POSITION SUMMARY

    Maintain and improve the appearance and operations of buildings and grounds for employee housing by performing and identifying custodial duties

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES

    This position is responsible for the following job results.

    This position is responsible for the following job results.
    • Cleans employee-tenant units by removing trash and dirty linen, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, making beds, washing windows, wiping down cabinets and walls as determined by schedule and need (general or deep clean)
    • Launders linens in accordance with department procedures and promptly returns them to linen rooms.
    • Maintains clean and neatly sorted linen storage.
    • Interacts with employee-tenants and provides exemplary customer service in resolving employee-tenant needs as instructed by supervisor or Employee Housing Manager.
    • Cleans common area laundry rooms on a weekly basis removing trash, wiping down machines, sweeping and washing floors.
    • Maintains orderly storage areas by cleaning, inventorying and restocking supplies and amenities.
    • Reports maintenance and damage to Employee Housing staff by recording it on the Employee Housing Daily Activity Report.
    • Reports Lost and Found by turning items into the Employee Housing Office.
    • Participates in monthly room inspections as directed by Employee Housing Manager.
    • Contributes to team effort by supporting co-workers and colleagues in housekeeping and maintenance positions.

    TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

    Any employee or volunteer who operates a company vehicle including cars, trucks, snowcats, snowmobiles, or heavy equipment is required to comply with the Driver's Standards Policy. This policy also applies to employees or volunteers driving their personal vehicles for company business more than four times per month, averaging 30 miles per trip. All drivers should receive a full copy of the Alterra Driver's Standards Policy; if you have not - please contact your Risk/Safety or HR/EE Department.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

    This position may be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

    Mountain Environment:
    • The primary physical environment in which this position works is out of doors with a high exposure level to cold, snow, wind, rain, bugs, sun, high altitude, extreme heights, lightning, etc...
    • The degree of strenuous activity within the job is considered to be high. Often lifting a weight of 50 pounds throughout the day is common.
    • Additional strenuous physical activity may include walking or hiking upon uneven, challenging terrain with heavy tools or equipment.
    • Exposure to: Chemicals required for cleaning, de-greasing, and painting Ultra Violet radiation from the sun enhanced through lack of atmospheric filtration at work altitude. Fumes produced in activities ranging from cleaning to painting to fabrication of metal products. Noise generated by snowmobiles, lift equipment, and tools may require hearing protection to be worn.
    • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees.
    • Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
