Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor supervises engineers who develop, implement and maintain company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations. Involved in the design and development of facilities, work areas and work procedures and makes environmental, health and safety recommendations accordingly. Being an Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the preparation, maintenance, and updating of environmental policy and procedure manuals. Ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Additionally, Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be an Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. nThe Safety Director supports the safety vision of MBW by overseeing the Health and Safety and development of employees through the active promotion of a "zero injury" safety culture through a combination of training and skill development as well as monitoring and measuring performance. Applies our company's safety culture to sub-suppliers / customers whose actions or inactions can affect the safe execution of work consistently and fairly. Uses communication and coaching to achieve the most results and is proficient in the application of corrective actions when such action is appropriate to situations. Understands the HS&E vision of our company and evolves and recommends changes to HS&E policies and procedures, identifies, and oversees regulatory and skill training, JHA/JSA assessments, incident reporting, root cause investigations, and safety performance audits (including sub-suppliers scoring). Consistently uses business acumen in the application of health and safety in conjunction with talent development to achieve business results.
