Environmental Services Coordinator coordinates and maintains company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations. Inspects the work areas and work procedures and makes environmental, health and safety recommendations accordingly. Being an Environmental Services Coordinator maintains and updates environmental policy and procedure manuals. Ensures compliance with and trains employees on all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Additionally, Environmental Services Coordinator requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be an Environmental Services Coordinator typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Some science college courses preferred.
Experience: 1 year of related experience and 40 hour HAZWOPER Training completion is preferred.
Requirements: Due to potential exposure to atmospheres/waste/materials, this position requires that you must always be able to be clean shaven to wear a respirator for your protection. Must have a valid driver's license. Ability to pass Motor Vehicle Record search to company standards.
Knowledge and Abilities: This is a safety sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function. Good working knowledge of EPA, DOT and OSHA regulations required. Good knowledge of general industry practices required. Ability to lift 60 pounds. Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including respirator. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
