Environmental Services Coordinator coordinates and maintains company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations. Inspects the work areas and work procedures and makes environmental, health and safety recommendations accordingly. Being an Environmental Services Coordinator maintains and updates environmental policy and procedure manuals. Ensures compliance with and trains employees on all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Additionally, Environmental Services Coordinator requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be an Environmental Services Coordinator typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.     This position is a very important asset to the Healthcare team and the frontline to infection control.  We take pride in our work, maintaining a clean and safe environment for all patients, visitors and the entire staff at Summit Pacific Medical Center.

    Required Education and Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent, required
    • Housekeeping experience, preferred. Hospital based experience, preferred

    • N/A

    Job Specific Duties

    1. Cleans, disinfects and services all assigned areas. Dust, mop, wash walls, ceilings, windows, furniture, equipment, sinks, mirrors, doors, lights, toilets, shower, shelves, cupboards, vents, water fountain, garbage cans, removal of garbage, patient related garbage, soiled linen and a variety of related duties.
    2. Willing to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continuous basis, accepts supervision from a number of persons and performs tasks despite frequent interruptions. Ability to perform tasks with consideration for patients in the vicinity and always being aware of safety to patients, self and other employees.  Initiative in determining what cleaning is to be done.
    3. Work under close supervision and performs standardized task quietly and in a timely manner.
    4. Position will be required to be trained at all District Facilities and may rotate between, as needed (clinics, hospital, finance office).
    5. Special project and other related duties as assigned.

                      This is a union position with a pay range of $17.67 to $24.66 per hour, depending on experience.
