Equipment Engineering Director directs equipment engineering activities within an organization. Plans and develops policies and procedures for designing, developing and implementing equipment. Being an Equipment Engineering Director ensures all equipment engineering projects, initiatives, and processes comply with established policies and objectives. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Equipment Engineering Director typically reports to top engineering management. The Equipment Engineering Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.
