Summary/ObjectiveThe Parts Manager will provide leadership in motivating, managing, and evaluating all parts department personnel. The Parts Manager will oversee the day to day responsibilities of the Parts Department in regard to customer service, sales, receiving and delivery of parts. This management role will coordinate activities with other departments to best serve the needs of the customer and employees.

- Demonstrate leadership in daytoday management of the employees under their direction
- Coach, mentor and communicate job expectations to Parts department team members
- Lead and take ownership of management responsibility relating to hiring, performance management and overall people management with assigned Parts department team members
- Lead and manage all business and/or department activities related to ensuring the customer experience is positive and that all team members are committed to creating solutions and longterm relationships with customers
- Approve all employee payroll hours according to HR policies and procedures
- Maintain an accurate and effective parts inventory control system
- Manage the proper process regarding the ordering, distribution, and receiving of parts
- Manage annual inventory count cycles
- Maintain positive and professional working relationships with coworkers, management, customers,and vendors with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner
- Follow all safety rules and regulations and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and the employee handbook
- Participate in all company driven communication efforts including department meetings, electronic communications (email and text) and other related efforts
- Proactively seek and participate in available company sponsored training to develop skills and knowledge
- Maintain prompt and regular attendance according to department and company policies
Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position is responsible for supervising all parts personnel including, but not limited to, parts representatives and parts warehouse specialist.
Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting in or around service/parts departments and will be exposed to outside weather conditions, noise, vibration, fumes, odors, dust, electrical shock, toxic or caustic chemicals, heights and close proximity to moving mechanical parts.
Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is continuously required to stand, bend and stoop. The employee is frequently required to lift or carry up to 20 lbs., walk, reach above, push and pull and use hands and fingers for fine manipulation. The employee is occasionally required to sit, lift and carry up to 100 lbs.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance and color vision. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear at moderate noise levels.
Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a fulltime position. Days of work are Monday through Friday. Over time and weekends, as necessary.

Job Requirements- 3 years of experience in the Parts Department operations
- Previous supervisory/management experience
- Industry and/or retail parts experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Valid Drivers License
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record
