Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Escrow Assitant/Escrow Officer to join our team. As an Escrow Officer, you will be responsible for facilitating real estate transactions by ensuring the proper handling of funds and documents. Your role will involve working closely with lenders, buyers, sellers, and other parties involved in the transaction process. Duties:
- Manage the escrow process from start to finish, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Review contracts, loan documents, and other related materials to ensure compliance with legal requirements
- Coordinate with lenders, title companies, real estate agents, and other parties to gather necessary information and resolve any issues that may arise during the escrow process
- Prepare settlement statements and distribute funds according to established procedures
- Conduct credit analysis and verify financial information provided by buyers and sellers
- Maintain accurate records of all escrow transactions
- Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of escrow procedures, mortgage servicing, loan origination, and financial services
- Proficiency in basic math calculations and credit analysis
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills to interact with clients and stakeholders
- Familiarity with TILA (Truth in Lending Act) regulations and contract law
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
