The Executive Director of Finance and Physician Integration’s purpose is to create and execute the strategic vision for the organization’s finance and accounting functions. The incumbent will lead Johns Hopkins All Children’s finance and accounting resources focused on general hospital accounting, grants accounting and foundation accounting. Of particular importance, the incumbent is also responsible for developing the financial practices of the JHACH Physicians to ensure all standard best practices are in place.
Working under the direction of the JHACH Chief Financial Officer, and alongside many other contributors and stakeholders, the Director of Finance has strategic oversight in the implementation of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, identifies opportunities to maximize governmental third-party reimbursement consistent with applicable laws and regulations, ensures the effective and efficient management of cash and investments, and synchronizes the accurate and timely preparation and presentation of financial, regulatory, and other decision-oriented information. The incumbent assists leadership at all levels to improve financial processes, develop policies and standard work, plan strategically, and make informed business decisions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field. Master’s degree preferred. Certified Public Accountant license preferred.
Minimum of 7-10 years of progressively responsible related experience in healthcare operations and not-for-profit accounting/finance including 3-5 years of management experience
10 years of experience leading finance functions of a health system, medical group and/or participating in financial analysis for physician practice acquisitions
