Ethics & Compliance Business Unit Specialist supports and coordinates the activities of the organization's global ethics and compliance function. Assists with the delivery and maintenance of programs to assess and manage legal and regulatory compliance risks and establish high ethical standards of conduct for the organization. Being an Ethics & Compliance Business Unit Specialist prepares materials that communicate the organization's ethical standards, policies, and regulations. Supports or delivers employee training programs that raise awareness about ethics-related topics such as Anti-Bribery, Anti-Corruption, Antitrust, Conflicts of Interest, and others. Additionally, Ethics & Compliance Business Unit Specialist generates reports of compliance monitoring statistics, investigations, outcomes, and remediations of any non-compliant actions. May administer reporting systems or helplines for employees, customers, contractors, and other stakeholders to disclose violations of the organization's ethical standards, violations of law, or policies without fear of retaliation. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. ABOUT OUR CLIENT DIVISION OF DRIVER LICENSING:
Our client is a very diverse state agency that directly touches the lives of citizens and travelers every day. Our client services are at work in all 120 counties and 12 highway district offices from highways, roads, bridges, vehicle licensing, driver licensing, and highway safety. Our client works closely with officials at every level to deliver products and services to its citizens, businesses, and government agencies, continuously working towards improvement.
The Division of Driver Licensing (DDL) within our client is responsible for the issuance of driver’s licenses, maintaining driver’s records, and managing driver safety programs. Kentucky’s DDL works closely with other state agencies, other states, and federal government agencies. Recently, the Department of Homeland Security enacted federal rules for “Real ID” issuance and record keeping. Our client must enact these rules to issue federally complaint driver licenses.
To meet the increased demand, DDL has an immediate need for a group of exceptional individuals to join our organization as Driver’s License Regional Support Specialists/Portable Unit Travelers. The rollout of a new digitized license computer system across the state will require travel to issuance locations to all sections of the state. In this position, there may be opportunities for advancement within the Division of Driver Licensing. The DL Support Specialists will be assigned a mobile unit and be required to travel to varying locations throughout the state issuing licenses. These locations will include manufacturing centers, libraries, prisons, and other local areas in need of Driver’s License services. The candidate will not be expected to utilize their own vehicle.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The main focus of this project will be to learn the new digitized driver license issuance requirements and DDL state and federal rules which include REAL ID, Commercial Driver License, and National Driver Register. The successful candidates will review and analyze secure documents of driver license applicants and personal information. The successful candidate must be able to pass federal fingerprint background checks and they must conduct themselves professionally with employees and citizens.
