Photo and Event Studio Manager - 18 Label Studios

18 Label Studios is a full-service, 8,000 square foot film and photography studio and event space located in Montclair, New Jersey, just 12 miles west of New York City. Our studios are raw, industrial, fully customizable, and offer extensive space for events, gatherings, and productions. Each of our four studios boasts a unique identity and can transition seamlessly into each other for additional capacity. We also offer a customizable kitchen set, Cyclorama Wall, and ample natural light.

Position Overview:

18 Label Studios is seeking an experienced and driven individual to join our team as the Photo and Event Studio Manager. We’re looking for a sales-savvy go-getter who excels at communication, can sell our space to customers, and drive new business. The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a studio manager or assistant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Report to and collaborate with the management team to boost sales and uphold cost controls.
• Schedule various events and staff, ensuring availability and functionality.
• Resolve client issues and answer questions.
• Ensure the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of our venue.
• Hire and manage event staff.

Qualifications:

• Self-motivated and results-driven.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Prior experience as a studio manager or assistant is highly preferred.

Tasks Include But Are Not Limited To:

• Actively seek new business opportunities.
• Answer phones and email inquiries, schedule and conduct venue tours with prospective clients.
• Track and manage sales and customer information from inquiry to contract signing.
• Send monthly reports to management.
• Coordinate and assist with the set-up and delivery of rentals.
• Stay updated on competitor studios and industry trends.
• Properly train representatives to work events/productions.
• Schedule productions, events, staffing, cleanings, and required inspections.
• Perform day-to-day operations and regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and cleanliness standards.
• Coordinate repairs, renovations, and upgrades as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
