Hours: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Salary: Up to $75,000/year, with paid holidays, 2 weeks of vacation, sick days (in accordance with the Department of Labor), and an IRA match program. (Note: There are currently no health benefits.)
About the Role:
Lint-X Dryer Vent Cleaning is seeking a high-caliber Operations Manager to oversee and manage multiple core divisions critical to our success: Service, Finance, Human Resources, and Administration. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills, along with the ability to build and streamline systems that will support our ongoing expansion. Reporting directly to the Owner/Operator, you'll play a key role in driving efficiency, stabilizing cash flow, and increasing profitability.
Key Divisions & Responsibilities:
The Operations Manager will have hands-on responsibility across the following divisions:
- Service
- Multi-Unit Project Management: Oversee multi-unit project reporting, scheduling, and progress tracking to ensure timely completion and high-quality service.
- Field Supervision: Support field supervisors, ensuring that all single-family and multi-unit projects are managed with attention to detail and safety.
- Quality Control: Review photo documentation, coordinate technical corrective actions, manage customer reviews, and handle call-backs to maintain high service standards.
- Training & Safety: Lead training programs for technicians and apprentices, emphasizing safety, technical proficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Purchasing: Ensure the timely acquisition and distribution of necessary tools, equipment, supplies, and materials to maintain project efficiency.
- Finance
- CPA Liaison: Work closely with external accountants to ensure accurate tax reporting and financial compliance.
- Budgeting & Bookkeeping: Oversee financial planning, budgeting, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to support steady cash flow and financial health.
- Purchasing & Inventory: Manage office supplies and equipment procurement, maintain inventory levels, and implement cost-effective purchasing strategies.
- Human Resources
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage the recruitment pipeline, onboarding processes, and training programs to ensure we attract and retain top talent.
- Employee Relations & Compliance: Oversee employee handbook updates, vacation request approvals, absence management, and adherence to workplace ethics.
- Performance Management: Conduct quarterly employee reviews, lead 30-day one-on-ones, and organize company outings to support team morale and productivity.
- Administration
- Fleet Management: Handle the acquisition, maintenance, insurance, registration, and inspection of our fleet to ensure all vehicles are ready and compliant.
- Legal & Compliance: Ensure the company's adherence to legal requirements, manage licensing, and oversee HR policies.
- IT & Facilities: Oversee IT infrastructure (phones, computers, software), facility maintenance, and office storage to maintain a productive in-office environment.
About You:
- Experience: Ideally, you have a mix of operations management experience, with knowledge of overseeing finance, HR, administration, and service operations. Experience in scaling small businesses is a plus.
- Leadership & Communication Skills: Proven ability to lead teams across diverse departments and maintain clear, effective communication.
- Organized & Systematic: Skilled in creating and refining processes and documentation to drive efficiency.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Quickbooks and Google Drive, with strong competency in creating and using spreadsheet formulas.
