Executive Assistant provides multi-faceted administrative support and assistance to ensure effective use of an executive's time and productive interactions with staff and the public. Handles a wide range of administrative and support tasks and independently initiates and implements processes to manage projects, information, and people. Being an Executive Assistant manages the executive's schedule, meeting preparations, follow-up tasks, and complex travel arrangements. Conducts research and information gathering on behalf of the executive and prepares summaries and reports. Additionally, Executive Assistant develops positive and strategic relationships at all levels of the organization. Uses discretion, judgment, and knowledge of the organization to facilitate the executive's activities and maintain confidentiality. May be responsible for directing and deploying support staff or other resources. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to c-suite executive. The Executive Assistant work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. TPF is a community foundation established to strengthen Connecticut’s Black communities in critical areas such as health, education, and economic development. Our mission is to create a sustainable system of support to meet the unique needs of Black communities in Connecticut. The organization is designed as a permanent endowment vehicle providing opportunities for Connecticut’s Black communities to access capital to meet their unique needs. TPF also enables community members to engage in philanthropy by creating their own funds on the TPF platform. Through coordinated, focused efforts, TPF believes that philanthropy funded and managed by Black people is a viable and sustainable means of addressing critical social and economic gaps in Black communities.
TPF seeks a high-functioning Executive Assistant to provide administrative support to the Executive Director. Daily responsibilities will include conducting research, preparing reports, data entry, and handling information requests, as well as other high-level administrative tasks the Executive Director assigns. Additional duties include preparing correspondence, scheduling meetings, and taking notes at meetings. The ideal candidate will be someone able to work independently without much supervision, be able to manage a large, diverse workload, and know how to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
