Equinox Village is an independent-living retirement community for active (and aging) adults in Manchester Ctr., Vermont. We are seeking a full-time Maintenance/Facilities Assistant. Pay will commensurate with experience.
The Maintenance/Facilities Assistant plays a key role in the delivery of an exceptional experience to residents in our community. This person will serve in a supportive role for the Maintenance & Housekeeping Departments, reporting to the Facilities Manager.
Overview
The Facilities Manager will outline the goals and objectives for the week and day. These may include:
Attending to regular maintenance and housekeeping duties inside the building, pertaining to common areas and resident apartments
Attending to outside grounds maintenance
Assisting with carpet or other related cleaning duties
Painting of common spaces and apartments
Transporting residents to and from appointments
On occasion, filling in for evening and overnight staff if needed
Responsibilities:
Arrive on time and ready to work
Maintain professionalism while on the job and throughout interactions with staff and residents
Maintain a cheerful and positive attitude
Ensure timely completion of tasks that are up to expected standards
Effective and appropriate communication between co-workers, management, and residents
Other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager
