Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, you will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages. Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and conditions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
- Prescribe medications and monitor patient response to treatment
- Provide health education and counseling to patients and their families
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic care
- Perform procedures such as IV infusion, catheterization, phlebotomy, and wound care
- Utilize electronic health record systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks) for documentation and communication
- Adhere to infection control protocols to maintain a safe healthcare environment
- Participate in utilization review activities to ensure quality of care
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Proficient in conducting physical examinations and interpreting diagnostic tests
- Ability to provide health coaching and counseling to promote preventive care and lifestyle modifications
- Experience in emergency room settings is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks)
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
