Job Summary
The designer will work with the Design Manager and other Designers to complete drawings for manufacturing to utilize to create custom and standard products. This designer will need to be fluent with Autodesk Inventor and willing to learn our company’s standard design practices.
Job Responsibilities
· Able to use and read a tape measure to 1/16th of an inch.
· Proficient in the use of some of the advanced commands of the Autodesk Inventor software.
· Able to use marked up drawings to revise drawing sets.
· Accurately track time spent on projects, including assigning a job number and logging the appropriate information.
· Able to create complex, multipart models and create complex drawing sets with details for manufacturing to easily assemble.
· Able to communicate clearly with other departments.
· Able to interpret the requirements of a project based on purchase orders, estimates, and verbal communication from Design Manager and Engineers.
· Minimum 2 years of experience drafting in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements
· Associates of Applied Science in Computer Aided Drafting & Design (preferred), or equivalent experience
· 2 to 6 years of experience in a Design/Manufacturing Setting
· Proficient with the most current release (or within two releases) of Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD or equivalent.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
· Able to visualize concepts and translate to a 3d model.
· Able to read and understand various types of drawings and schematics.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills with a "Team Player" mindset
Preferred
· At least 2 years Autodesk Inventor experience
· 2-year degree in associated design, drafting, or manufacturing field.
