Field Service Engineer provides on-site support and technical assistance with various products or equipment. Installs, configures, troubleshoots, and maintains products/equipment. Being a Field Service Engineer identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures. Orders and replaces parts as needed. Additionally, Field Service Engineer develops detailed service reports to document service visits, issues, and troubleshooting actions and logs and tracks maintenance activities. Answers basic customer questions about product features. May provide some customer training. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Field Service Engineer work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.     Your future role

    Take on a new challenge and apply your comprehensive electromechanical and electronics expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside innovative, dedicated, and collaborative teammates. You'll contribute significantly to our engineering projects, ensuring the highest level of performance and reliability. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (such as Project Management, Customer Service, and R&D), providing expert field service support and much more.

    We'll look to you for:

    • Ensuring the high-quality performance of our electromechanical systems,

    • Managing all on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks,

    • Producing timely and detailed service reports,

    • Following all company's filed procedures and protocols,

    • Providing exceptional customer service during field visits or dispatches,

    • Diagnosing errors or technical problems and determining proper solutions,

    • Cooperating with the technical team and sharing information across the organization,

    • Comprehending customer requirements and making appropriate recommendations,

    • Building positive relationships with customers,

    • Adhering to safety regulations and maintaining a clean and safe work environment

    • High School diploma/GED required.

    • Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering is preferred.

    • Experience or understanding of electromechanical systems or electronics field.

    • Knowledge of Wayside Signaling systems and Railroad operations.

    • A valid driver's license and US Passport eligibility.

    • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.

    • A customer service-oriented mindset.

    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

    • Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills.
