Field Service Engineer provides on-site support and technical assistance with various products or equipment. Installs, configures, troubleshoots, and maintains products/equipment. Being a Field Service Engineer identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures. Orders and replaces parts as needed. Additionally, Field Service Engineer develops detailed service reports to document service visits, issues, and troubleshooting actions and logs and tracks maintenance activities. Answers basic customer questions about product features. May provide some customer training. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Field Service Engineer work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. The Field Service Technician performs technical work on Heavy Equipment. Assists in troubleshooting of all road inquiries. Our Technicians ensure the quality of repairs, consistency of service, communication of needs, and act as facilitators of safety and production necessary to complete tasks. This position requires strong team leadership skills as well as the ability to work side by side with all employees.
Essential Job Functions:
Experience/Education: Minimum five years’ prior work experience required on a variety of heavy construction equipment including excavators, bulldozers, off-road haulers, and loaders. Valid NYS Driver’s License required; CDL a plus!
