Finance Director directs an organization's financial policies, planning, reporting and controls. Oversees all financial functions including accounting, budget, credit, risk, tax, and treasury. Being a Finance Director generally is the second most senior finance executive. Requires a master's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent. Additionally, Finance Director may require the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential. Typically reports to chief financial officer (CFO). The Finance Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. About the Role:
The Finance Director will play a critical role in strategic financial planning and management to help achieve our organizational goals. This position will report directly to the Executive Director and will be essential in budget management, financial forecasting, ensuring the financial health of our organization, and assisting with other areas of organizations within BCDC. This position will manage the financial operations of multiple organizations under the umbrella of Bowman County Development Corporation, including Roosevelt Custer Regional Council.
