The Finance Assistant position plays a vital role in keeping the financial department and member accounts updated and free of errors. This position contributes to the Club mission by creating a friendly atmosphere while upholding strong expectations for parents/guardians in relation to account needs. Additionally, the Finance Assistant works closely with all departments to record, classify, and organize financial information and data.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, verifying duties, and maintaining accounting records
• Answer Phones, assist callers, and/or transfer to appropriate line
• Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data, in order to compile and keep member and financial records, using computer print-outs to assist in maintaining member files
• Complete month-end A/R reports and daily cash/charge reports and submit to CFO
• Complete invoices, receipts, and other financial documents according to established procedures
• Communicate via email with staff, supervisor, and potential employees
• Assist with pre-boarding and on-boarding processes
• Manage advertisements for organization job postings
• Manage credit card checkout, credit card receipts, and purchase order processes
• Assist with payroll preparations including missed punches and time cards
• Collect payments from parents/guardians
• Assist with weekly billing
• Contact parents regarding past due balances and/or suspensions
• Act as the greeter and “face” of the Club at the front desk

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to multi-task
• Knowledge of computers, Microsoft Word and Excel
• Operate computers programmed with accounting software to record, store and analyze information
• Knowledge of Quickbooks
• Valid Driver’s License
• First Aid and CPR Certification
