Please Note: The starting salary offer will be determined based on the successful candidates’ qualifications within the starting salary range of $61,800-$78,276 annually. Please note that there is career salary growth beyond this starting range for the successful candidate.
Hybrid: Our physical office is in Olympia, WA. We offer flexible work schedules and locations. This is a hybrid position where most of the work allows for telework. However, you will need to travel to in-person activities, meetings, and events according to business needs.

The job opportunity
As a
Financial Analyst -Receivables and Reconciliation, you will support the mission of the Office of Financial Management (OFM), Office of the Governor (GOV) and Office of Independent Investigations (OII) serving as a journey level fiscal analyst. This position focuses on contract and IAA billing, as well as general ledger reconciliation. You will be responsible for maintaining accounts receivable records (invoices and receivables), and performing general ledger reconciliations for OFM, GOV and OII. Duties
What you will work on:

Independently develop and maintain electronic tracking system for all monthly, quarterly, and annual invoicing for OFM/GOV/OII.

Generate and complete accounts receivable invoices independently.

Review contracts to identify accounts receivable implications.

Research past due accounts, process corrections as needed and work with other agencies to resolve outstanding accounts.

Maintains accurate electronic accounts receivable and accounts payable records for interagency agreements and contracts.

Provides monthly/quarterly/annual reporting to agency leadership related to outstanding receivables.

Develop and maintain reconciliation processes for accounts receivable system and general ledger accounts.

Document and update all processes to ensure readiness for Workday (accounts receivable) processing and compare current processes to Workday processes to identify deficiencies.
Qualifications
What we need you to bring:
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree, which includes 18 quarter or 12 semester hours in accounting, auditing, or budgeting.

Two years of relevant professional accounting experience, one year of which was performing advanced/complex accounting and /or fiscal analysis.
- Additional professional experience can substitute for education, on a year-for year basis, but not the required credit hours.
Desired Qualifications-
Knowledge of and experience with AFRS, Enterprise Reporting, SAAM and GAAP.

Analytical and reasoning skills: document processes and procedures for consistency and completeness. Utilize best practices and your network of peers to provide input and feedback toward unit improvements.

Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint, Adobe Pro, and virtual meeting/conference platforms.
