New restaurant by acclaimed 3 Michelin starred Chef opening soon. We are currently seeking dedicated and hard working Captains to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong work ethic, organizational skills, and strong attention to detail. As a Captain, you will play a crucial role in creating a memorable dining experience for our guests by providing exceptional service and attention to detail. You will be responsible for delivering a high standard of service, ensuring guest satisfaction, leading the front and back servers, and contributing to the overall success of our restaurant.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Anticipate guests’ needs; deliver a high-quality, memorable food and beverage dining experience to all guests
• Interact with guests, take orders, serve food and beverage, and process transactions
• Maintain dining ambiance with an enthusiastic and graceful attitude
• Recommend menu offerings and have proficient knowledge of our menu and how they fit with most peoples dietary restrictions
• Demonstrate expert knowledge of all menu items.. All members of the server team are responsible for being able to effectively describe each dish as well as the ingredients, preparation/techniques, and allergens
• Maintain impeccable standards of cleanliness and appearance throughout all areas of the restaurant both before, during and after service
• Inspect dining room, table settings, chairs, floors, proper maintenance, cleanliness and safety
• Adhere to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies
• Complete all assigned side work
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and guidelines
• Consistently report to scheduled shifts on time and ready to work in proper uniform
• Operate ethically to protect the assets and image of the company
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as per business need

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• 4 years of experience as a Server, Captain, or related role in a restaurant with a comparable service style and/or cuisine of elevated service and/or fine dining
• Impeccable service standards and attention to detail
• An appreciation and knowledge of fine food and wine
• A positive and enthusiastic attitude, as well as a desire to learn, grow, and develop new skills
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and adjust as guests needs change
• Willing to accept guidance in a positive manner and implement the direction in a way that is productive for both you and the team
• Able to work in a standing/walking position for long periods of time
• The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours. These physical requirements may be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodations.
