Perform a full range of emergency response duties to include fire suppression, hazardous materials response, specialized rescue, and manmade/natural disaster response.

POSITION IN ORGANISATION

• Labor Category: USN
• Reports to: Station Captain or Crew Chief

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responds to aircraft incidents and emergencies, structural alarms and emergencies, grass or brushfires that may threaten the loss of life or government property, automotive/vehicle fires or accidents, and POL fires or spills limited to hazardous materials operational level response.
• Drives and inspects fire department vehicles; operates firefighting equipment and tools.
• Exercises judgment, and initiative; receives and executes direction from Crew Chief or another senior member.
• Completes daily work assignments.
• Maintain firefighting vehicles and equipment per manufacturer’s recommendation.
• Maintain living quarters and the fire station's overall appearance.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS

• IFSAC or ProBoard certification to included Airport Firefighter, Driver/Operator ARFF, Driver/Operator Pumper, Driver/Operator Mobile Water Supply, Hazardous Material Operations, and Telecommunicator I/II.
• Valid home-of-record driver’s license.

SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

• Interpersonal skills and the ability to develop effective working relationships.
• At least four years of relevant experience is desired.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Communicates effectively in writing, on the telephone, and in person.
