Fleet Administrator assists in administrating and coordinating motor vehicle fleet operations. Understands OSHA, DOT, fleet-specific regulations, licensing, registration, and reporting requirements. Being a Fleet Administrator prepares and maintains accurate records of vehicles, insurance, and required regulatory filings and reporting. Coordinates repairs and preventative maintenance scheduling that support fleet vehicle availability requirements. Additionally, Fleet Administrator may assist with safety training and communication programs. May require an associate degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Fleet Administrator works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Transit - Fleet Contract Program Administrator I
The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of administrative, analytical, and strategic operational duties in support of public programs for the City and/or multiple City agencies. This is accomplished by managing the existing programs; conducting needs assessments; evaluating and implementing processes and procedures; monitoring grants and program contracts; creating new strategies; developing key community partnerships. Other duties include serving as liaison for leadership committees and being a subject matter expert of the programs.
This is a special at-will position funded by a FTA grant received by Transit annually.
Essential Job Functions - the basic job duties an employee must be able to perform:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in a related area of study.
One year of full-time, professional experience in a related field.
Education and Experience Equivalency: One year of relevant work experience may be substituted for one year of required education (OR) one year of relevant academic coursework beyond the minimum requirement may be substituted for one year of required professional experience.
