Job Goal: Build positive relationships with students, families, staff and the greater Ashland community. Provide high-quality instruction to students with a strong desire to make an impact on students who are in need of assistance. Engage positively and professionally in collaborative teams to regularly analyze data that will inform and adjust instructional practices to ensure student success. Present a positive image in contact with the parents, community, and staff. Properly handles confidential matters relating to students, student records, parents, staff and any other school-related issues.
This position requires, but is not limited to the following:
- Wisconsin Certification #1701 - Broad Field Social Studies or equivalent
- Wisconsin Certification #1725 - History or equivalent
- Wisconsin Certification #1715 - Geography; preferred
- Wisconsin Certification #1735 - Political Science; preferred
- Wisconsin Certification #1740 - Psychology; preferred
- Wisconsin Certification #1745 - Sociology; preferred
- AP Instruction (training completed or willingness to complete)
- Ability to forge positive relationships with students and their parents/guardians of students.
- Ability to work collegially with department staff, student services, administration, the faculty, maintenance staff, and community as needed.
- Ability to facilitate student/parent meetings as needed.
