Foundation Director directs the execution of the vision, strategic planning, financial management, fundraising, and grantmaking operations that support the overall objectives of a foundation. Defines the goals and tactics for fundraising campaigns and program initiatives. Being a Foundation Director represents the foundation to the public and media to communicate its mission, values, and accomplishments. Maintains positive relationships with foundation stakeholders, including the board of directors, grantees, community leaders, donors, and prospective donors. Additionally, Foundation Director oversees grantmaking operations, including developing grant guidelines, reviewing grant applications, and managing the grant evaluation process. Manages foundation programs and initiatives that align with the foundation's mission and values. Implements systems for monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the foundation's grantmaking and programs. Ensures all foundation activities comply with applicable laws, reporting requirements, and regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Foundation Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Foundation Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Position Summary: Program Director

    The Program Director works closely with the Executive Director and the Family Service
    Manager. The person in this role is responsible for the overall planning, implementation and management of all Family Service Programs and Initiatives. This includes developing long term strategic plan for program enhancement and growth along with key performance metrics. This is a full-time position.

    Job Description

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop strategic long-term CdLS Program enhancement goals and budget
    • Suggest and create innovative plans and processes to enhance program support for families.
    • Set goals for enhanced programs, track progress, and overall performance (Should have customer feedback metrics in place)
    • Create program measurement tools/metrics, oversee data collection and evaluate outcomes. This includes recording and tracking key consumer data and compiling program performance data.
    • Manage, train, and motivate a team of 2-3 FT Staff
    • Keep staff accountable to achieving quarterly progress toward program completion as well as establish goals and plans for the following year.
    • Represents the organization at conferences and other public events; leading activities, speaking roles as well as training volunteer coordinators.
    • Monitor program budgets and oversee relevant grant compliance (grants related to family programs)
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key partners – i.e. Clinic leaders, program volunteers, and board members

    Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

    1. Exceptional communication and presentation skills relating to individuals with special needs, their support systems and working with professionals in the medical and educational arena.

    2. MSW preferred or BSW with 5 years program experience
    3. Highly motivated, ability to work independently within an interdisciplinary team.
    4. Computer literate (Word, Excel and ability to learn database system)
    5. Available for travel four to five times annually to attend Foundation events.
    6. Has the ability and desire to work in a team approach organization.

    Working Conditions:

    Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Will require some travel to support special events, and Regional Retreat every 2-3 years. Work is flexible with a combination of remote and in-office time.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: From $69,370.00 per year
