Fundraising Coordinator jobs in Weirton, WV

Job Summary: To build agency capacity and to promote the agency through educational programs, public relations and fundraising events. At the direction of the Family Recruiter and Outreach Supervisor and often in collaboration with other staff members, the Events and Outreach Coordinator will assume the following duties:

Education/Outreach

• Oversee and assess all activities of outreach

• Coordinate and/or facilitate educational programs/workshops/special events

• Build network of media contacts

• Coordinate media interviews (radio spots, special interest articles, pod-casts, etc.)

• Submit regular approved agency press releases and/or public service announcements

• Development & distribution of approved agency materials

• Promote interest and provide information regarding ACPA programs to community leaders, community service groups, local congregations, media, and the general public.

• Recruitment of foster families through outreach and events.

• Network with other agencies to stay informed about services and resources

Capacity Building

• Research and develop new grant/fundraising opportunities

• Develop and coordinate surveys, brochures & other relevant materials

Special Events

• Develop/coordinate National Adoption Month and Foster Care Awareness activities

• Develop/coordinate major fundraising and other outreach events including annual picnic

• Maintain all donor information; provide and present statistical information to Supervisor and ED

• Develop and implement plan to thank and regularly communicate with donors.

• Submit timely publicity for agency events

Job Requirements

• Minimum of Associates Degree, Bachelor’s preferred

Job Type: Full-time
