Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center seeks a full-time Genetic Counselor to join our expanding genetics program. Our two full-time genetic counselors provide genetic counseling services in cancer risk genetics and are growing the program to expand patient access in Maine. Responsibilities will include assessment, development of pedigree, selection and coordination of testing, pre- and post-test counseling, clinical documentation, communication with referring providers, participation in multi-disciplinary tumor boards, and community education.
Our team provides care in our NCQA-recognized level III Patient Centered Medical Home. Our office locations are located in newly renovated facilities close to our main hospital campus. Candidates must have a masters degree in Genetic Counseling or related field with experience in clinical genetics and be board certified or board eligible. At least one year of professional experience in a busy practice across clinical and/or cancer genetic service lines preferred.
