Job Description:Geotechnical Design Manager (Multiple Positions), Ferrovial Construction JFK T1, LLC, Jamaica, NY. Lead Geotech consultants and manage all aspect of technical work, including planning the work, approving tasks for the team, and reviewing relevant drawings and reports. Collaborate with the Design Department to make necessary changes to geotechnical plans. Ensure design meets technical and regulatory requirements. Maintain design schedule and design quality standards. Make complex calculate in planning and utilize technical tools to produce optimized design. Identify technical problems and ensure the geotechnical work meets contractual requirements. Facilitate relationships with and provide design support to the team and stakeholders.
40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Salary: $178,500/yr.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field and five (5) years of post-bachelor, progressive, related work experience.
Must have five (5) years of experience with/in:
Overseeing geotechnical team to produce project plans that comply with technical requirements;
Managing engineering activities related to geo-structural design, foundations, structures, and/or underground work of infrastructure projects valued at $200-250 million USD;
Supervising all aspects of geotechnical work through document review, management of deliverables, cost control, budget monitoring, and resource planning;
Performing data collection and complex engineering calculator using at least two (2) of the following software tools: Primavera P6, InRoads, GEOPAK, AutoCAD, and/or Civil 3D;
Working with multidisciplinary teams, including consultants and design team to produce an optimized design; and
Supervising geotechnical investigations and review of interpretations of ground conditions for both soils and rock.
Up to 5% domestic travel required.
